County Jail or State Prison

Start broad when the exact facility is not known. If a common name returns multiple people, use age, location, custody status, case history, or direct jail contact to avoid a false match.
Victims and witnesses may use VINE notification features for custody changes when the person appears in the system. That is a different task from ordering a court record. A notification record does not prove every charge, sentence term, or release condition. For those facts, compare the VINE result with the MDJ or Common Pleas docket and, when needed, the office that keeps the case file.

Mail and Commissary Gaps
Mail and inmate funds are jail administrative services, not court records. If the jail gives a booking number or jail ID, include it with the inmate's full legal name on approved mail or account transactions. Do not send cash unless the jail specifically authorizes it. Do not send medication, contraband, staples, Polaroids, or other banned items through ordinary mail.
Legal mail often follows a different route from personal mail. Commissary deposits and phone accounts may involve fees, limits, account verification, and vendor rules that change over time. Since current vendor names and pricing were not located in the official sources reviewed, the accurate instruction is to confirm with the jail before sending money or relying on a third-party service.
Do not infer a vendor from another Pennsylvania county. Jail services are local contracts and can change without the court docket changing at all.
